How do I sign up?

Tap Join Circulure on the home page or any header. You'll set your email and password, confirm your age and walk through a short profile setup. The whole flow takes about three minutes.

What information does Circulure need?

Email, password, year of birth (for age-appropriate access) and the basics of your profile — display name, city and a few interests. You can fill in more over time.

What's the first thing I should do?

Pick your city, choose a few interests and join one Guild that meets weekly. A real-life event in your first seven days is the single biggest predictor of sticking with Circulure.

Can I sign in with Google?

Yes. The Continue with Google button is on the sign-in page. Your Circulure profile is still separate — Google is only used to verify your identity.

I forgot my password — what now?

Accepted Answer

Open the sign-in page and tap Forgot password. We'll email a reset link to the address on file. The link expires after a short window for security.

Can I change my email later?

Yes, from Settings → Account. You'll need access to both inboxes to confirm the change.

I didn't get the verification email

Check spam and promotions first. Make sure the address has no typos. Add no-reply@circulure.com to your contacts and request a new email from the verification screen. Corporate inboxes sometimes block automated mail — try a personal address if so.

How long is the link valid?

Verification links expire after a short period. If yours has expired, request a new one — the old link will stop working as soon as a new one is issued.

Why is email verification required?

It is the recovery path for your account and the channel we use for security-critical notices. Without it, we can't reliably get a forgotten-password reset to you.

What is age assurance?

A short check that confirms you are an adult before unlocking certain features. We work with a specialist provider so the check is independent and consistent across regions.

Age verification isn't starting — what should I do?

Make sure you're on the latest version of the app or a current browser. Disable strict privacy extensions on the verification step. If it still won't start, sign out, sign back in and try again. Email safety@circulure.com if the issue persists.

What happens to my ID data?

It's processed by the verification provider only to make a pass/fail decision and is handled under their data-protection terms. Circulure receives the result, not your ID. We don't sell or share it.

How do I edit my profile?

Open Settings → Profile. You can change your display name, bio, interests, Looking-For status and profile card style at any time.

I can't upload a profile image — help

Photos must be under 10MB and in JPG, PNG or WebP. Some browsers block uploads in private mode. Try a different photo, a different network or sign out and back in.

Can I change my city later?

Yes — use the city switcher in the top bar or open Settings → Profile and update the City field.

What's the difference between a Connection and a Crew member?

Connections are people you've mutually accepted. Crew is the small, opt-in inner circle you promote people into — used for closer plans, shared Stories and faster RSVPs.

How do I add someone to my Crew?

Open their profile and tap Add to Crew. They'll get a notification and can accept. Either side can leave a Crew connection at any time.

Can I see who follows me?

Yes — open Settings → Connections → Followers. You can also block or restrict any follower.

How does Discover decide what to show me?

We use your city, your interests, your Guilds and the kind of plans you've engaged with — never your private messages. The more you use Circulure, the more relevant Discover becomes.

Why don't I see anyone in my area?

Some cities have small starting communities. Joining a Guild and creating a Looking-For status are the fastest ways to surface yourself and attract others.

What's a Guild?

A local community around a shared interest — climbing, board games, founders, supper clubs, hiking. Guilds run regular events and have an ongoing chat space.

How do I create a Guild?

From the Guilds tab, tap New Guild. Add a name, interest tags, city and a short description. Quality Guilds start with a clear identity — what you do, who it's for, how often you meet.

Can I leave a Guild?

Yes, from the Guild page tap the menu and choose Leave. You'll keep any past event history but stop receiving Guild messages.

Anything you're planning for a future date that benefits from the right small group — a trip, a class, a weekend hike, a tasting menu.

Can I invite people who aren't connected to me?

Yes — Adventures can be private (invite-only), Crew-only or open to your city. Open Adventures are surfaced in Discover.

How is a Gathering different from an Adventure?

Gatherings are now-ish, lightweight and short — coffee in twenty minutes, run at six, late lunch this Saturday. Adventures are planned, defined and usually further out.

Open the Gather tab — active Gatherings in your city are listed by proximity and start time.

Stories disappear after 24 hours by default. Saved Moments stay on your profile until you remove them.

Yes — long-press the message and choose Delete. The message is removed from both sides, but a copy is preserved if it was involved in an active report.

Open Settings → Notifications. Each category — messages, Guild activity, RSVPs, Crew updates — has its own toggle for push, email and in-app.

Notifications aren't working

Check Settings → Notifications first. Then check your device's system permissions for Circulure. On iOS, make sure Focus modes aren't muting Circulure. Reinstalling the app sometimes fixes stuck push tokens.

Open Settings → Privacy & Safety. You can lock down who sees your profile, Stories, Looking-For status and approximate city.

Settings → Account → Active sessions lists everywhere you're signed in. You can sign out remote devices from there.

Open their profile, tap the menu and choose Report. Pick the closest category and add a sentence if it helps. You can also use the public Report an Issue form.

Will the other person know I blocked them?

They won't get a notification. They'll find that your profile is no longer visible to them and that they can't message you.

Why is my account restricted?

You'll receive a notice with the reason and which abilities are paused. The most common causes are reported behaviour, suspicious sign-in patterns and incomplete age assurance.

How do I lift a restriction?

Follow the steps in the notice. If you believe the restriction is wrong, email appeals@circulure.com with your username and any reference number.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Account → Delete account. We'll explain what happens to your content, what's anonymised and what's removed. A short cooling-off period applies before final deletion.

Can I just take a break?

Yes — pause your account from Settings → Account → Pause. Your profile is hidden and you stop receiving notifications, but your data stays in place for when you come back.

A page shows a 404 error

Refresh once. If the URL came from outside Circulure it may be out of date — open the home page and navigate from there. If a Circulure-shared link 404s consistently, report it via the Report an Issue form so we can fix the redirect.

The app is slow or crashes

Force-close and reopen. Update to the latest version. Free up some device storage. Try a different network. Reinstall as a last resort — your account and content live in the cloud, not on the device.

Uploads keep failing

Switch to a stronger network, keep files under 100MB and avoid private-browsing modes. WebP, JPG, PNG and MP4 are the safest formats.
