Safety is a product, not a setting
Safety lives in the defaults, not buried in menus. Privacy-first, public-meeting-first, human-review-first.

Circulure is built around your city. Real friendships need repeated, low-pressure contact in real places.

More features unlock as you build a profile, complete age assurance and engage positively with your community.
Before meeting
A short checklist before the first meet-up
Most Circulure meet-ups go well. These four habits make the rest go better.
Chat first
Exchange a few messages inside Circulure before agreeing to meet. Confidence builds in conversation, not in a single profile glance.
Check the profile
Look at how long they've been on Circulure, their Guilds, their Stories and whether they've completed age assurance. Trust grows with signal, not assumption.
Trust your gut
If something feels off, it probably is. You never owe anyone a meet-up. Decline, mute, block — all without explanation.
Set expectations
Agree what you're doing, where, for how long. Clarity removes pressure and makes it easier for everyone to be themselves.
Meeting in person
Public, planned, shared
Choose a public place
A café, park, gym, climbing wall, museum, busy bar. Anywhere with other people around. Save private locations, home addresses and isolated places for after you actually know someone.
Tell someone
Send a friend, family member or Crew member the time, place, photo and Circulure handle of who you're meeting. Agree on a check-in time. The smallest amount of planning makes a real difference.
Make your own way
Travel there and back independently the first time. Keep your phone charged. Don't share your home address or routine in advance. Leaving early is always an option.
Personal information
Share less than you think you need to
People can become friends without knowing your home address, exact workplace, daily routine, bank, family members' names or other accounts. None of that is required to plan an Adventure, join a Guild or come to a Gathering.
Use Circulure's privacy controls in Settings → Privacy & Safety to choose who can see your profile, Stories, Looking-For status and approximate city. Lock down anything that feels like more than you want a stranger to know.
Never share passwords, verification codes, government IDs, financial details or copies of documents with another member — Circulure staff will never ask for these in chat.
Controls you own
Block, mute, report — without explanation
Report
Report any profile, message, post, Story, Guild, Adventure or Gathering. Reports are private and reviewed by humans.
Block
Blocked members can't see your profile, message you, see your Stories or join the same Guild events as you.
Mute
Mute keeps the connection but hides their activity from your feed and notifications.
Privacy controls
Decide who sees your profile, Stories, location, age, Crew and Looking-For status.
You don't need a reason to block or report someone. We never tell the other person who reported them.

What suspicious behaviour usually looks like
If you see any of these, slow down
Most members are exactly who they say they are. But these patterns show up again and again when something is wrong.
- •Pushes to move the conversation off Circulure within minutes
- •Refuses to meet in a public place or insists on a private address straight away
- •Asks for money, gift cards, crypto, investments or 'help with a problem'
- •Sends links to login pages, wallets or unfamiliar sites
- •Pressures you for explicit photos or personal information
- •Claims an urgent emergency that only you can solve
- •Profile feels copy-pasted, photos look stock or reverse-search hits other accounts
- •Won't share basic conversational details — city, Guild, interests — that match their profile
Account security
Lock the front door
Unique password
Use a long, unique password you don't use anywhere else. A password manager makes this painless.
Keep your email secure
Your inbox controls your Circulure account through password reset. Protect it with a strong password and 2-factor authentication.
Never share codes
Verification codes, login links and reset codes are for you only. Anyone asking for them is trying to take over your account.
Groups, Guilds, Adventures, Gatherings
Safety in shared spaces
For organisers
- • Be explicit about the format, location and what to bring.
- • Default to public places for first-time attendees.
- • Remove members who break the Community Guidelines — you don't need a long conversation about it.
- • Report serious issues to safety@circulure.com so we can act beyond your event.
For attendees
- • Read the description and the organiser's profile before RSVPing.
- • Bring your phone and a way to leave on your own.
- • You can leave at any moment for any reason.
- • Report behaviour that doesn't match the description of the event.
Messaging
Safer conversations
Keep first conversations inside Circulure. Off-platform chats are harder for us to review if something goes wrong.
If someone sends content that breaks our Community Guidelines, report the message — the original content is preserved for review even if they delete it on their end.
Don't open links you don't recognise. Don't run video or voice calls with people you've only just met. Don't accept money requests or invoices through any external app.
Age assurance
Age-appropriate access by design
Circulure is an adult social platform. Age assurance protects everyone — it keeps minors off the platform and ensures adult features are only available to verified adults. Some regions and Guild types require completed age assurance before specific features unlock.
We work with a specialist age-assurance provider. Verification handles your data in line with the strictest regional rules and is only ever used to decide whether to grant or deny access. We don't sell or share that data.
Anyone attempting to bypass age controls, lie about their age, or create accounts on behalf of a minor will be removed without warning.

What Circulure can do
- • Review reports of broken rules and act on them.
- • Remove content, restrict accounts and ban repeat offenders.
- • Preserve evidence of conversations involved in reports.
- • Cooperate with law enforcement on properly authorised requests.
- • Build features that make safer behaviour the default.
What Circulure can't do
- • Dispatch emergency services — please call local emergency numbers first.
- • Guarantee how a stranger will behave offline.
- • Recover content shared outside Circulure (screenshots, off-platform chats).
- • Provide legal, medical or financial advice.
- • Resolve disputes that don't relate to platform conduct.
